Su-chzeng is an executive coach with Coaching Associates. She supports leadership development solutions that link individual executive effectiveness to organizational performance.
Su-chzeng has used her 30 years of international corporate experience to coach executives in leadership development, talent and project management, and in resolving performance, interpersonal, communication and cross-cultural issues. Her internal clients were located all over Asia, from Japan to Australia and in the UK when she was senior manager for Macmillan, Collins, Jardine Fleming, Robert Fleming, Chase Manhattan and JPMorgan. Her clients now include non-profit organizations. She is qualified to use DISC and 360 tools in her coaching.
As a director with Jardine Fleming, the leading securities house in Asia until it was taken over by Chase Manhattan, and then as a senior manager and vice president with JPMorgan, she was most successful when coaching teams in highly pressured environments to perform at their best, committed to improving the bottom line as well as earn international rankings. She has worked for educational institutions to university level, and in the publishing and finance sectors in England, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.
The recent roles she played as senior business line manager were in helping to merge three companies with responsibilities which included creating a corporate culture and promoting female executives. This nurtured in her a passion for helping others adopt the coaching approach to improve the management of people, businesses and organizations. Her deep commitment to diversity issues in teams has come about from her working in different cultures for substantial periods, her traveling widely on business and having a practical personal understanding of such issues.
At JPMorgan Singapore, Su-chzeng headed the Diversity Council and is committed to improving the position of women in the workplace and in developing economies. At various times in Singapore she has been involved with helping UNIFEM, Unicef, AWARE, AACMP.
She has trained formally to gain three coaching certifications from Coach University International and is a founding committee member of the International Coaching Federation, Singapore Chapter. Su-chzeng holds a Masters degree in Education from the University of Sheffied, UK, 1973 and a BA Honors in English Literature.
