Experience/Background
BH Tan is one of
Asia's leading executive coaches, leadership consultants and educators
specializing in leadership development in a culturally diverse
environment. He is the president of
Coaching Associates and Lead Associates
based in Singapore. He works
with senior business leaders such as CEOs, VPs and GMs and their top teams to
enhance their growth and effectiveness and bring greater value to their
organizations. He has consulted with the executive teams of numerous large
organizations in large-scale cultural transformation.
Prior
to becoming an executive coach, BH was a business executive with 30 years of
international leadership experience, working extensively in many parts of Asia,
including various ASEAN countries, China, India, Taiwan, Korea, Japan as well
as in the US and Western Europe.
He was VP/Managing
Director/Director in a number of well-known MNCs including AT&T Consumer
Products, SyQuest Technologies and ICI Acrylics. His business experience at
senior management level extends across a number of diversified industries
including electronic contract manufacturing, telecommunications, chemical and
business consultancy. He has in-depth expertise in general management with
complete P&L responsibilities for revenues exceeding US$150mil , strategic
planning, manufacturing, quality systems, sales
and marketing.
BH
has written widely for the Singapore press on leadership matters. In
recognition of his accomplishments in his specialty area of Executive Coaching
in Leadership Development, the Thierry
Graduate School of Leadership has appointed him as an adjunct faculty member of the school. He is
accredited by the International Coach
Federation and holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential and to date has successfully
delivered more than 2500 hours of
professional coaching with corporate clients. He is a member of Marshall
Goldsmith Partners network, and an adjunct coach of the Center for Creative
Leadership. BH is certified to administer and interpret a range of 360
feedback instruments including the
Benchmarks, the Linkage LAI; the
Hogan Assessment System and the Extended DISC.
